I receive such joy from reading all the comments you all leave on my social media posts. Sadly, I haven’t been able to respond to them as much as I’d like to lately, but I really do read them! Putting a “like” by your comments doesn’t feel warm enough, especially when you are so kind and, or going through so much in your life. So today please know I appreciate you, I love you and especially know, I PRAY for all of you. 🙏♥️
I’m sure some may wonder if I really read and answer my social media posts... I do! 😘 I appreciate you and the time you take to read my posts and respond to them. You touch my heart every day! ♥️ Over the years I have been blessed to meet and get to know many of you. 😁 When I think back on all the things we have talked about, I realized there are two questions I am asked the most. So excluding the first one, which are usually questions about my brothers 😂, the second most asked is about my faith in God and how I’ve remained strong throughout my life. The answer to that question is easy, it’s because of PRAYER!
That’s why I posted the two photos with today’s message. Prayer has always been something that was placed of importance in our home growing up. The praying hands is a picture my mom had hanging in our home, the other, of the little girl praying, is a picture I have had in my home for many years.
Prayer is so personal and has been a part of my life, daily, since I can remember! It is my “go to” for answers, for strength, direction, for heartache and yes, even joy. Prayer is my consistent “true north”!!! So I’d like to share my thoughts about prayer today then I would sure love to hear back from you! 🥰
I don’t just believe, I KNOW prayer is the most powerful force on earth! It’s our smart phone to a loving God who wants to hear from us. It’s not what some say is (a mere consolation of the heart), but a real power and opportunity to speak to deity—our eternal Father who is in heaven. And we can utilize it anytime of the day or night! Some feel prayer is to be done at night or just in the morning or has to be on your knees, arms folded and with your eyes closed. Ah... NO! Prayer can be done anyway, anytime, anywhere, all day long. How do I know this? Been there, done it!😁
You’ve heard it said, “always have a prayer in your heart.” I know when we strive to do this, we are less apt to be hurt, angry, sad or confused. When I pray, I take my burdens, questions, worries and fears to Him and I always start my prayers with gratitude to the Lord. God loves a grateful and humble heart. 😉
I don’t know how or even when He will answer our prayers and sometimes it’s in ways we can’t even see at the moment. I don’t know how God does it, I only know that the peace, comfort and solutions eventually come. Believe in it because, prayer works! ♥️
When I need direction or take my fears to God, the darkness I feel lifts and peace settles in my soul. I crave to always have this kind of special peace He gives us through the Holy Spirit. In our present world where strife and contention are everywhere, experiencing His peace and direction is one of the greatest gifts we can obtain from God.
After I ask for answers to my questions or problem, most importantly, I listen. I pause and wait for impressions that will come. And be patient, have faith!
Many have wondered if these impressions or feelings are coming from God or if they are just personal thoughts. I believe there are three ways to know if your impressions are coming from God.
The first one is “are you prompted to do good?” The second is “does it bring you joy?” The third is, “is it something that will lift you or someone else up?”
I have also experienced over and over that my answers often come to me through the scriptures. The more we study them the more answers we will find….I promise! 🤗
I was praying for help with the topic of prayer this week and I literally opened my scriptures to this one!
Philippians 4:4–6
“Rejoice in the Lord always: in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Amazing, right!? So basically, my answer was... 😂 PRAY! It’s the most amazing gift God has given us is to talk with Him. 🥰 We are His children and I know my parents stoped everything if I needed to talk with them...and I would drop everything to talk with mine and my grandchildren and so would our Father in Heaven! ♥️ Just believe...and if you doubt, lean on my faith and knowledge that praying is real. Because... it is!!!!
I pray for all of you…always. 🥰
