Iā€™ve done a lot of things in my career but thereā€™s always those certain ones that stand out as being super fun to add to my resume. For instance, did you know that I was the first sculpted celebrity Barbie doll created by Mattel? šŸ˜ Iā€™m still the youngest person whose debut record went to #1 on the recording charts šŸ˜Š, and... I was the first person allowed to be Princess Leia from Star Wars. šŸ˜ Did you know that George Lucas chose the Donny and Marie variety show to debut his #StarsWars characters before the movie ever came out? SO COOL! šŸ˜Ž The D&M show was dubbed into 17 languages and viewed worldwide so Lucas thought he would get the best exposure to promote his new movie by showing the characters from it on our TV show. So yes, I played Princess Leia šŸ¤© and performed alongside the original Stormtroopers, C-3PO, R2-D2 and even Chewbacca. šŸ‘ā™„ļø Too bad Master Yoda wasnā€™t created yet, then I could have danced with his computerized image! #LoveTechnology šŸ¤£šŸ’ƒšŸ¾šŸ•ŗ I love Yoda! Did I tell you how much I love Yoda?!!! šŸ˜‚ He is my favorite Star Wars character! His words of wisdom were so useful in George Lucasā€™ universe, but many of them also apply to us in real life today. This adorable green creature teaches that the Jediā€™s strength flows from the Force, and warns of the dark side. ā€œAnger, fear, aggression, the dark side of the force, are they," he said.

Most of us have experienced this domino effect of FEAR. According to Yodaā€™s doctrine, fear can lead to anger, anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering. So the question is, does fear always lead to darkness? If so, then we should stay away from fear altogether, right? Well, that depends on how you understand the word FEAR. In Hebrew, in the Biblical sense, the interpretation of this word means to respect or to revere someone. If we fear the greater Force in the universe (as in our God), then by respecting His guiding words and counsel, great blessings and wisdom shall follow ā˜ŗļø and we will be led to a life of collaboration, satisfaction, peace and LIGHT!šŸ’”

ā€œFear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.ā€ (Isaiah 42:10)

As for the type of fear that leads to the anger šŸ˜¤ and darkness that Yoda speaks of, I look at it this way... We might think that letting go or getting things off our chest can be helpful and even therapeutic, but doing so with anger and hostility may wind up in an outrage that can turn oneā€™s temper into an explosive point of no return. Thatā€™s when ears stop hearing truth, eyes become blinded by pride, tongues become sharp as swords, and bitterness and aggression become so intense and out of control that even the safety of others can become jeopardized. Sadly, there are times when those piercing words or damaging accusations cannot ever be taken back or be mended. Feelings can be permanently hurt and lives can be completely destroyed forever! It pains me to see when this kind of anger and hostility pit brothers against brothers, sisters betraying sisters, and children rising up against their parents. They are blinded by their pride and persistence in believing that they are rightā€”creating anger, selfishness and even hatred!

ā€œHe that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.ā€Ā  (John 2:9-11)

The Savior taught us that LOVE is the key to eternal happiness and TRUTH is the light that dispels all darkness. We see unrest all around us nowadays, where good and truth are being distorted and twisted. Where our freedom and liberties are at stake. Where the right and the left can barely find middle ground. We see facts being twisted into whichever direction oneā€™s anger needs them to be and only done to stir us up and manipulate us into unrest. People and nations are being divided.

To live in a God-fearing world is a blessing in itself, and whichever nation we may live, how can we all ever hope to be ONE or UNITED if we donā€™t follow Godā€™s council? History has proven it over and over again! The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over but expecting different results. What will it take to eliminate the hatred and anger that exist around us?

These are all signs of the last days and I believe to combat all of this anger, we need to turn to the real Yoda in my life. In my Motherā€™s words, ā€œTake a breath and start by looking inward and examine our own weaknesses before blaming or shaming others.ā€ We especially need more than ever to get on our knees to pray! šŸ™ Pray for the strength do you know real truth, that we wonā€™t become so fearful of being wrong that we no longer see right. Pray that all this anger wonā€™t cause us to forget to be civil with one another. And pray for the strength to follow Godā€˜s word that we might always have love for one another. May we embrace our differences and try to understand each otherā€™s plights and causes. So, when the light from within starts flickering with dimness, and the path to the the dark side seems to be just around the corner, we can consciously take a step back to avoid engaging in this wrong kind of fear. Let us only fear God, keep His commandments and read His words of wisdom daily. Follow His counsel and pray to find lasting light and peace.

Ending now in true Yoda fashion... šŸ˜‰ Remember, your strength flows from the Force (or from Godā€™s Spirit), so draw from the LIGHT, we must!!! May the Force of Godā€™s wisdom be with you on this Happy #Sunday. I love you all! ā™„ļøšŸ’‹
