Sharing two photos with you today. The first is a picture-perfect shot that I took of the mountains ⛰ last weekend during a mini-vacation with my Sweet-❤️! It was so great to just relax and wake up to this view everyday—feeling refreshed, not only physically but spiritually, too. There’s something about the beauty, serenity and wonder of God’s majestic creations that always revives my soul. I just love autumn! 🍁 Seeing all the fall colors popping up in the trees and hearing the wind blow through the aspens brings magic to my heart. There was a little chipmunk in this tree right by where we were camping. 🐿 He was so busy stocking up his food for the winter and very vocal while doing it. Seems he was not happy that we were invading his territory! 😁 He was so amazingly cute and eventually quieted down when he realized I was helping him gather his items and leaving them at the base of his tree. 👍♥️ As I looked around, 🍃 the 🌿 leaves to me, symbolized our color filled lives. It made me think that as we grow into our final fall seasons, we need to take the TIME to DO absolutely NOTHING! To OBSERVE all the beauty around us... and just be STILL and simply... BREATHE! 👃🤗 Steve said something profound to me thatwas inspirational. He said, “If we continually focus on everyones else’s shortcomings, we will be too busy looking at all the negatives and miss seeing all the good and amazing things around us.”
Being in the mountains made us focus on the greater good and helped us forget about all the negative fault-finding, contentious issues and political turmoil that are happening around the world today. In the mountains, we were able to focus on our blessings, choosing to create an attitude of happiness and experience tender and precious memories together. 😘♥️
Every week, my sweet children send quotes to each other on family group text. My husband and I have similar texts with our own siblings, as well. As a parent though, I love seeing my kids communicate with each other through their photos and when they express personal ideas that inspire wisdom, laughter, warmth and even silliness. 😉
The second photo I posted was sent to all of us from my daughter Claire. I loved it!!! We do BLOOM after we have been in the dark for a brief season, if we choose to have the HUMILITY needed to see trials as opportunities to be planted and grow. I believe that the success of ours or any family, becomes more deeply rooted, if we try to see and understand each others’ perspectives and not just justify our own. By so doing, we have fewer disagreements and more constructive thinking that help blossom our love for one another. Through this kind of constant nourishment, it can open better communication and help us try seeing things from the other person’s point of view. When humility kicks in, our love becomes rooted in harmony and peace. The end result is HAPPINESS. 😍💞
I was reading in this topic (the benefits of humility) in several articles, and here’s a brief compilation of thoughts that I felt were inspiring:

The humble are thankful and quick to express gratitude to God and others. This is why humble people tend to be happy."
The Savior was the ultimate example of humility. He taught us that we gain happiness by giving of ourselves to benefit others.
⛺️ I had so much fun last week that Steve and I are heading up into the mountains again this weekend to do more of the same... absolutely NOTHING! 😂 Let’s all take some time this week to sit and admire this beautiful world God created for us and strive harder to live our lives, more dedicated to losing any negativity in our lives. Let us seek for more humility by striving to see more positively the why and where of our being planted! And... let’s reflect on what WE can do to plant more kindness and love in others lives, because this greenery can and will surely LEAF 🍃 a deep rooted smile on their faces. 🤣💐🌵🍁🍂 Happy Sunday! 💋
