"A father is neither an anchor to hold us back nor a sail to take us there, but a guiding light whose love shows us the way."

I love that quote and dedicate it to my Son and Son-in-law, my Brothers and Brothers-in-law who are exceptional Dads 🤗 and to my beloved husband Steve, who is my ROCK and loves all our children with such passion and dedication. His immense heart has changed theirs and my life eternally! I love you!!! ♥️

The other day, I was telling my wonderful Steve that partly why I adore him so much is because he reminds me in many ways of my precious Dad. They say you marry guys like your Father, right? 🤣 Well, I did! 👍😉 There is not a day that goes by where I don’t  think about my sweet and loving earthly Father. Especially, when I look at these photos in my dressing room at the Flamingo Las Vegas where I perform. My Dad was my hero, who created a safe haven for me in this crazy world that I grew up in. I feel so blessed today to call him ‘Father,’ and that I am his only daughter and birthday pal! (Yes, I was born on his birthday. 😊) I honor him for all that he did through his examples in keeping our family strong and united... through good times, challenging moments and the in between. He was a God-fearing man who loved all people and served as an amazing role model for my brothers and me. Compassionate, ethical and honest in all that he did, Father also treated our Mother and me with the utmost respect and helped me understand the joy of true womanhood. I sooooo miss him on days like today but his lasting example has been imprinted on my soul eternally!!!

This time of year, we pay tribute to the father-figures in our lives, including non-biological Dads who are always there to guide, mentor, encourage and love us. Let’s not forget the single Moms too, who are fulfilling fatherhood duties for those Dads who can’t be around. ☺️ Huge kudos to the kind and honorable men who try to help fill the void for children who may not have someone to call “Dad.”

I’m most grateful today to my God, our Father in Heaven, who guides, protects, comforts, counsels and inspires us. He loves us so much that He sent His son Jesus Christ to help us ALL come back home to Him. All He asks is that we honor His council given in love to take care of each other and love one another. This knowledge, to know that He is truly the Father of our spirits, brings me great peace and self-worth.

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.” (Romans 8:16)

Like our Father on earth, God loves us so much that He will correct us when we are heading in the wrong direction and lift our burdens when we struggle. He rewards us when we are true and faithful and strive to have harmony and humility in our lives.

God bless all the good men out there who know that Fatherhood makes a huge difference in children, families, communities and our world! Today share your love with your Father-figure”s” who have made a major impact in your life. May you have a great #FathersDay on this #Happy #Sunday! 😘👨💙💋
