Have you ever gone fishing? My brothers and I have some of the most amazing fishing memories from our youth during the summers we lived in Utah. 🎣🐟 We never saw waters part like what the cartoon shows, but a lot of inspiration for life and songs πŸ˜‰ came from the lakes and rivers we lived by. #DownByTheLazyRiver 🀣🎀 🎢

I saw this cartoon and sent it to my brothers. 😁 There are some great analogies from the story of Moses. Remember when Moses through the Lord’s miraculous power parted the Red Sea and made it possible for the fleeing Israelites to pass through on dry land?

β€œAnd Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.” (Exodus 14:21)

As I laughed over the cartoon, it made me realize that today we all, in some way or another, have our own RED SEA 🌊 moments and our share of insurmountable barriers that can try to block us from reaching our eternal goals or destination.

I was telling one of my children yesterday that if we can just obey His commands, with God, nothing is impossible and unforeseen miracles await us. If it is His will, He will rescue us and split the water, or remove the barriers that might stand in our way. Our Savior will lift the burdens that weigh heavily on our shoulders.

Sometimes these overwhelming challenges can discourage or block great opportunities if we succumb to them. But from the biblical account of Moses’ experience, we know that when life is flooded with unbelievable obstacles, the Lord’s helping hands can give us the ability to part our own RED SEAs. πŸ™ May we all pray this Sunday to continue to have the kind of faith and perseverance Moses had.  πŸŒŠπŸ’‹

On this #Happy #Sabbath, let us reflect on what we should do to conquer our challenges, no matter the color. 🀣
