Marie's Sunday Message - December 25th, 2022

This week I finished up my Symphonic Christmas tour. Seeing those of you who came to the show has been absolutely wonderful. For many reasons, this tour has been more magical than ever. It’s been such a great way to celebrate the holidays! And just when I thought Christmas couldn’t get any better, my cute husband picked out the perfect gift for me!

On our day off in between Pittsburgh and Rhode Island, Steve took me to New York. We went to see Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster in The Music Man!! Can I just say it was absolutely fabulous!!!! Bravo, Hugh and Sutton. After the show, we said hi to Hugh and some of his friends and were able to see other friends there in the Big Apple. 🍎 🥰

The next day I finished my last concert in Rhode Island and then took off for Disney World where I have been doing candlelight since Christmas Eve. I’m so excited to be spending some much-needed personal time with my husband, children, and grandchildren! 🥰🎉❤️

Today though I want to tell you about an amazing experience I had on the way here. It happened right before dawn when the sky was still completely dark. As I watched the horizon colors start to develop across the skyline, I could see faint pieces of violet, then streaks of yellow, hints of orange, and slivers of red. It was so beautifully gradual on one hand yet so fast and fleeting on the other. The sky seemed filled with energy… like an anticipation of something amazing! For me, it felt like a musical feast was being written with color and heavenly choirs of angels lined up to sing!!!  (when words fail me I always turn to music… it’s an Osmond thing😂) I felt that all of it was symbolically honoring our Savior, Jesus Christ because in the very next second the sun or “SON” was up and “shining brightly before us!”.  With this crescendo, I could feel the sunrise announcing the Savior…. I don’t know how to say it any other way… It was powerful, it took my breath away and it all testified that He came to rule and reign!!!!!!

I sat there in “wondering awe”--perhaps with similar emotions of the Shepherds as they stood around the Christ child. All of a sudden I could feel the words of every Christmas song! Perhaps this beautiful performance from God’s creations were even more touching to my soul since I had just read Isaiah 9:6…

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given...and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

Just as our Savior was born to bring eternal light into our lives, the sunrise is a daily reminder of His glorious presence and how He is available to us every day and in so many ways….

The entire world is celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. It’s the one time each year everything points to His birth. I feel this video about our Savior coming into the world is so beautifully done. Oh, how I love Christmas!!!

I pray that this season is the best ever for all of us because we sure need a little peace on earth and goodwill towards men more than ever!! Know you are all loved….very very much!!
