I’m off from the Flamingo Las Vegas this week and while I was prepping for my upcoming talk for the American Gem Association 💎, I pondered about the theme of my speech. I looked upwards at the ceiling and my eyes were captivated by the crystals hanging from the light fixtures in my living room. It was so beautiful to see the light shine through every clear-cut crystal, as they sparkled like diamonds in the room. I was mesmerized by the brilliance of the reflection of light and its ability to bend as it strikes and bounces off various points of my home. I can understand now why diamonds (gems and crystals too, I guess 🤣) are a girl’s best friend! 💋
My executive assistant Lorraine had a similar experience a few weeks back. She texted this to me, “I couldn't stop staring heavenwards as the sun's rays caught the exquisite colors in the crystal chandelier. It was quite extraordinary and it took my mind off my worries.” As I read her text I thought to myself, ‘This is more than just a coincidence!’ It suddenly became clear to me that if we are ever stressed, look heavenward and let His light so shine. The clarity that we can experience when we feel and see the light is symbolic of the “Light of Christ.” I believe that this LIGHT is given to every man and woman by God… so that we may discern what is good and evil. Sometimes the light of Christ is referred to as "The Spirit of God” and often sparks our conscience to choose right over wrong. But I do know that the true light, which gives life and enlightens every soul, is our Savior’s ♥️ #L☀️VE.
“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
This divine energy that we feel when we follow Him is powerful and influential and it comes directly from our Heavenly Father. It can warm our hearts with joy and at the same time, fill the immensity of space. Speaking of space, did you know that astronomers have discovered a planet twice the size of our earth is made largely out of diamond? Cool! Right? 🤩 I want to believe it rains glittering diamonds when there’s a storm on that planet. 🤔😁
Here on earth, a craftsman takes his sweet time to cut and shape these brilliant rocks to turn them into magnificent, sparkling diamonds. Well, to God, we ARE His diamonds. We may be rough around the edges, but if we rely on His LIGHT for guidance, He can turn us into a masterpiece.
A diamond is a chunk of coal that did well under pressure. On this #Happy #Sunday, forget the stress and pressures of the past week and enjoy the warmth of the “SON”! 🙏☀️💋
